Here is what information Gaja handles.

At a glance

You can use it without signing in. Sign in only if you want to continue on other devices.
We never ask for your device's location (GPS). Only the places you pick and their dates are saved.
Without signing in, your records stay in this browser.
No ads or tracking. Visits are counted anonymously, without cookies.

We save only the places you visited (Korean cities, counties and islands, Japanese prefectures, Canadian provinces, Australian states, countries), the dates (a day, a month or a date range) and places you marked as want to go. No coordinates or photos.
Without signing in, they stay in your browser's storage (localStorage). They are not sent to our servers, so we can't see them. Clearing the site data in your browser removes them.
A link made with Send map holds only the color level for each place (past year, past 3 years, earlier). Dates and want-to-go places are not included, and the part after # in the link is never sent to a server.
When you turn on ‘Show my map’, anyone with the link can see your map. They see only areas, color levels and your account name, never dates or your wish list. You can turn the link off or change its address at any time, and the old link stops working right away. Our server stores only the link address; the map is rebuilt from your records each time the link is opened.
Your friends' map links and the names you gave them are stored only in this browser. Our server keeps no record of who has whom as a friend.
Your theme choice (light or dark) is also remembered in browser storage.

Signing in is optional. Every feature works without it.
You sign in with a Woodada account (Sign in with Google). We receive the account name and email address, and don't store your profile photo.
While signed in, your records are saved to your account so you can see them on other devices. When you sign in, the records in this browser are added to your account. Our servers and database run on Vercel and Turso in Japan.
A session cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days. Other services that use the Woodada account read the same cookie. We briefly count requests to prevent abuse, but don't store the counts with your records.
Deleting your account on the account page deletes the account and the records on our servers. You can remove any single record anytime by tapping the place.

No ads or tracking cookies. We count visits without cookies and don't store IP addresses or browser details.
One cookie (woodada-locale) remembers your language for a year. Other Woodada services read it so they show the same language.
Vercel, which hosts the site, may keep access logs (such as IP addresses) for a period for security and operations.

If this policy changes, we'll note it on this page and update the effective date.
